Pippa Tshabalala holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Masters degree in Fine Arts (with a specialisation in Digital Animation) from the University of the Witwatersrand.

She taught at the University of the Witwatersrand in the Digital Art Divison of the Wits School of Arts between 2006-2009, primarily as the Digital Animation lecturer for Honours and Masters. She still on occasion supervises and acts as external examiner for research papers dealing with gaming and animation.

During Pippa's time at Wits she began presenting PlayR (South African version) and The Verge on DSTV (first on Go! and then on Vuzu) which aired between 2008-2012.

She worked at Don't Look Down Convergence Agency between 2010-2012 producing content for The Verge, research for Prankz/Clipz, as well as working on a number of live performance and broadcast systems including Quartz Composer and VizRT for VideoWars (Channel O) and Jy Druk Play (MK).

Pippa writes for NAG, SA's premier gaming magazine, Obrigado Magazine, Girl Guides, a female based tech and gadget website, Gearburn as well as Gamecca Magazine and presents an insert on videogames for the Friday morning breakfast show on UJFM.

She has MC'd high profile events such as the South African launch of the Playstation Vita as well as the LG 3D Gaming Festival, and regularly appears at rAge, South Africa's premier gaming and technology expo.

She is currently working as the On-Air Producer for MTV Base in Johannesburg, but continues to operate as a freelance creative consultant, public speaker and part time model.

She is also a 2013 Brand Ambassador for Adidas.

Pippa has a passion for all things gaming and tech related as well as a growing collection of tattoos.
